Brazil Report – Aug. 2006

Here the Revival is going well; our church is growing fast.

Because of the social problems, violence and misery, many people are open to the gospel.

The last weekend we presented a documentary about Armageddon to the assembly and we set a goal for the saints to bring some new people to see it. It was tremendous; we had 70 new people, yes!! you saw right, 70 new people!!!! We had to ask the brothers and sisters to stand up for the visitors to sit down. Of course we wished that they all were baptized, but just 9 were, praise the Lord for that!!!

Miracles are still taking place for the glory of God.

A sister whose name is Cleide made a pact 20 years ago with some voodoo to not have a relationship with her husband , because she found out that her husband had another woman. After that she developed lots of illnesses, ulcers, high blood pressure, and so on.

She came to the Lord four months ago, and got baptized and received the Holy Spirit, so she started learning from the Bible that if she wanted her husband again she has to give a good testimony to him. Over the 20 years the guy still used to live with her, but he had other women. Her husband started to come to the church, so she started being a wife to him again. We showed her in the Bible that it was not right to not be a wife to her husband. Now they are both in the Lord with the two boys. She is 51 years and him 55. Now she does not take any medicine at all, she is healed and the couple is living in the name of Jesus.

Tanque, Queimadas, Barro Alto

Those places are well; our relationship with the people in these villages is much closer now and getting better all the time.

Gadelha- Peripiri

The hall
The wood arrived last week from the Amazon. Now it is drying to be used on the roof.
It will take two weeks to be dry as a bone, then we will set up the structure.
The hall when it is eventually completed will hold 1,200 people. It will be built in stages as the finances become available.

The assembly in Gadelha it is going well. My natural brother José and Fabiana his wife probably will move to the villages around the end of December and take up residence there. Many people there are clamoring for the truth of the Gospel.
As soon as we have the hall ready we will give up the house that we rent for the assembly. Officially we have already given it up. The owner gave us two more months until we finish the roof. Praise the Lord for that.
