John 13 (King James Version)
- Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
- And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
- Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
- He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
- After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
- Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
- Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
- Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Psalm 23:4 (King James Version)
- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Exodus 4
- And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
- And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
- And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
- And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
- That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
Numbers 17:8-9
- And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
- And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

Matthew 22:12-14 (King James Version)
- And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
- Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
- For many are called, but few are chosen.
2 Timothy 4:2-3
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
- For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
Romans 8:9
- But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Canada Report – Sept. 2006
As we wind down the summer and head to the fall we rejoice in the great fellowship we have been having here.
It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Rejoy, who headed off across the country to Waterloo, Ontario (near Toronto) for work. But with this move are the seeds of opportunity as we have seen incredible growth from Rejoy in this last term in Victoria and know the Lord will use and bless him wherever he is planted. We have prayed with Rejoy to be used in Waterloo and maybe in Toronto and encouraged him to continue to preach the Gospel. Keep him in prayer and the opportunity for a work to start in Ontario is certainly there with the contacts that are scattered around that area.
John and Rosalee have found a house! After many months of prayer, they are moving into a house near Beaver Lake that they will rent. This will be a big step up from the small apartment that their family has been staying in.
John continues to see blessings in his work from their step of faith in going from two incomes to one income which is providing for them.
I look forward to seeing people at camp and unfortunately it looks like I will be the only one making it this year. With the timing of the camp, John and Rosalee will be settling into their new home and holiday time being as short as it is in Canada, others will be working.
God Bless,
Mark

Testimony from Lydia, Canada
I thank God for all the blessings he has poured out on me.
I was born in the Philippines and like most people in the Philippines, my earlier church experience was attending the Catholic church. Later I started attending another church and always believed in God. This belief has kept me safe all these years no matter where my travels took me.
I had the opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia for work, and on my way there I knew that I would not be able to take a Bible or attend any churches, but I was given a small pocket sized Bible that I kept with me. When I arrived at the airport and the Saudi Arabia officials hand checked my luggage, I was blessed that they did not find the Bible or I may have been arrested. For 19 years I worked in a country where women could not drive or go out alone, but the Lord took care of me.
I later had the opportunity to come visit my sister in Ottawa, Canada and she took me to a Christian church she attended. The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to come to Canada to work and for a while I stayed in Ottawa until the family I worked for moved to North Saanich near Victoria. When I came to Victoria I knew I wanted to find a Christian Church but all my Pilipino friends could only offer the Catholic Church. I kept praying for God to show me and one day I opened the Yellow Pages and saw “Christian Church” – Revival Fellowship. I decided to call on a Wednesday night and talked to Pastor Mark who told me I had found the right Church and that they were having a Bible Study that night. He asked if I wanted to come and offered to drive me. I was very excited to have this fellowship.
As I attended the Church, I realized that I needed to be baptized and this was the Lord’s plan for me and that he had brought me to the right place. I was so disappointed that I could not attend the Church camp they were having because I had to work, but on the Sunday night after the camp last year, with Pastor David and Alice from Fresno visiting, we went to Elk Lake and I was baptized. It felt so refreshing. A few weeks later at a Bible study at Pastor Mark and Sheila’s home, I received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
During a surgery that I was having last year, I asked for prayers. When I went in for surgery, the nurses said most people are nervous before they go in, but I was calm and told them that the Lord would protect me. All the hospital staff were amazed how calm I was and how successful the surgery went.
The Lord has brought me to a wonderful place and I thank the Lord for his many blessings.
