Remember Your First Love

Chris G

By Brother Chris (listen)

Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Shame! And How to Handle It

Pastor Ward

By Pastor Ward (listen)

Ezekiel 7:16 But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity. 17 All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. 18 They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads. 19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. 2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. 3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. 4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. 5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. 6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.

Sharp Words

By Pastor Ward (listen)

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

Psalm 52:1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually. 2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. 3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. 4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. 5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

Shannie’s Testimonies

Shannie and Bethany

October 2006 – My name is Shannie Lipper and I am 14 years old. I received the Holy Spirit and got baptized January 14th, 2004. My family moved to Coalinga and that’s where my Mom was witnessed to. When we started to go to meetings and even after my Mom received the Spirit I still didn’t understand about it all and didn’t want to do anything about it at first. But then God changed my attitude and has blessed my life by first of all bringing my family to this fellowship and filling us all with the Holy Spirit. God has played a major part in my life.

One day my Dad lost his wallet and it had a lot of money in it. All I had to do was pray. I told my Dad that he didn’t have to worry about it because it was going to be found and returned. At about 1:00 am a person who had found his wallet called and it was safely returned and all the money was still in it. The funny thing was that my Dad had written his phone number on a paper and put it in his wallet. And that’s how the person called him and that really amazed me. It made me think that everything happens for a reason. If my family hadn’t moved to Coalinga then my Mom wouldn’t have been witnessed to and I wouldn’t be in the Lord.

It’s great being in the Lord. He has blessed me with music, friends, and a huge family in the Lord. I’m so thankful and grateful that He brought me to this fellowship, and I’m going to continue walking in God’s ways.
